Once a crusader castle, then a small monastery, after that a farmhouse, Chiaro is integrated in a 6-units building with a communal pool and tennis court.
The house was built from scratch with old materials, yet it has all the modern comfort. 
It is located in San Vittorino, close to Gubbio, an exceptionally beautiful medieval town with breathtaking countryside views.

Chiaro is a delightful and very sunny property. Relax on the private patio with awning with right next to it a fully irrigated private and fenced garden facing to the South, full of colourful plants and flowers and an old, large olive tree. The property has wonderful views from all of its windows. Gubbio, its surrounding area, and San Vittorino in particular offers a combination of tranquility, history, culture and activities and, importantly, a slice of true Italian life. 

San Vittorino is also the "Winner of CNBC Property Award for Best Redevelopment Italy 2008 and Best Renovation Italy 2009".

As soon as you take the white road up the green hills towards this splendid villa, you will feel the stress and tension melt away.
Park your car in one of the two parking lots and walk over the gravel path along the beautiful and colourful garden towards the house. 
Enjoy the green hills that surround the property and the beautiful view of Gubbio.

This fantastic holiday home consists of a spacious living room with an office desk, a cosy seating area (design sofa) with direct access to the kitchen and the patio, large and fully equipped kitchen with direct access to the patio (complete with outdoor furniture), storage area, two bathrooms (one with walk-in shower and one with bathtub/shower), three bedrooms with very comfortable beds.

Most windows in the house have mosquito nets and all of them have French shutters.
To make your stay as comfortable as needed, all necessary appliances are present. (washing machine, dishwasher, ventilators)

Sit comfortably in the spacious, well-kept garden where mood lighting is provided in the evening, and enjoy a nice glass of Italian wine whilst enjoying the silence and a sky full of stars...

And if you believe in legends: rumor has it that the crusader who was the first owner, buried a solid gold statue of a horse on the grounds….

The entrance gate of the domaine has a code lock and you will find a key lock at the entrance door of the house. Access instructions and house rules will be provided by email, at least a week before arrival.
Guests have full access to the house as described above, to the communal outdoor swimming pool with sun chairs and umbrellas and to the tennis court with artificial turf.

Please note that you will need a car as Chiaro is located in the glowing Umbrian hills near Gubbio.
Bath- and pool towels as well as bed linen are provided, cleaning of the house is included.
We can arrange for your fridge to be stocked on arrival if you wish, and also for mid-week cleaning (extra charge to be paid to cleaners).
